Told some folks that my wife and I are moving sometime within the next 8-12 months (military, so will be out of state I'm sure), so she got me a nano tank for my b-day last month to hold me over! Whatever!!! It only made me want more, SO.....I picked up a 75g today! Should have all or most of my stuff, besides lights, hopefully tomorrow! Anyway, I'll post pics, hopefully soon. BTW, enough people with tank builds, and it's a measly 75g when a lot of others have 150 +, with a few 240's, so BLAH! Cuttin some corners to get it her going! Yes, it's a her, and HER name is Betty! :D

measly 75 gallon?
cutting corners?
no build thread?
Huh?

Man, you need to do a build thread. You can keep all your posts about your tank collected, and you'll go back and look on it later when the tank has filled out and matured... Plus, it's fun to see pictures and read about what others do with their systems!
75's are a pretty good size to do a little reef tank in. 4' to give you swimming room for a little bit larger fish, and 18" to aquascape in isn't bad. Good luck with the build and keep us posted!

I've heard of naming your fish, but naming your tank Betty? That's a new one for sure! LOL Congrats on the new tanks. And remember, just because someone has a bigger tank, doesn't mean it's better. There have been plenty of smaller tanks make TOTM.

I have found that, nano tanks only postpone the inevitable!

lol, yeah well, the 75g will have to hold me over til we move. I plan on going somewhere between a 125g up to possibly a 180g. Too big for now since the move will be coming though! But yes, the inevitable can be a bad addicting thing! Next month Ill want bigger again!

Look at it this way, if you go with a 125 or 180, then the current 75g you have can act as a sump. So really, you had to buy it sooner or later :D

Ok, got my tank set up. I have about 85lbs of rock in it so far, and will add another 20-25 after cycle is done. Have to wait because it's coming from my nano and I have frags and what not in there. Also, I went with the Samoan Pink sand and I am sure some of you have it or at least seen it. It is simply AMAZING and it looks even better in my tank. Will post naked pictures soon....of the tank that is! :p
