Acclimation of corals and fish.

I thought this would be a excellent topic for a future meeting. Ive heard so many mixed answers/thoughts/suggestion on the subject and I believe that many of us would benefit from the discussion. Everything from Acclimation Time/duration, Drip acclimation to Hospital tanks etc......

Good topic, we could even include a portion on how/what to dip with in order to prevent the introduction of pests. (It would kind of tie in to the presentation that Brian gave today at the meeting)

It is a great idea. The May meeting would be perfect. Now all we need is someone who can give the presentation. Any volunteers/nominations?

It is 2 1/2 months away so that would give someone plenty of time to do the research.

Cool, I will make sure to get to this meeting especially since it was my idea, lol. Going to be a very interesting/imformative topic. So it will be in Buda at the Cabelas?

The May meeting is at Cabelas. The topic, however, is not decided. We still need someone to step up and give the presentation.

If no one does, another topic will be chosen.

what about an LFS owner or representative??? i doubt anyone here acclimates more stuff than they do

anyone want to volunteer???

Another topic I would love to see done is...
Fragging 101: from Acropora to Zoanthids, all the tools and tips you need to properly propogate corals

I know that there are lots of "expert fraggers" in our midst!

Kristy, that one is in the rotation. The last one Ace did in March of 07. It was great. He fragged a BUNCH of stuff and then we raffled it all off. We also raffled off fragging kits that included everything you would need to frag. It was a great meeting.

"expert fraggers" lol...thats what I am...every time I reach in the tank I make frags...accidental frags, but frags nonetheless...lol.

Keep the ideas coming guys!
