so i came home from partying at a friends house and the biggest buzzkill happened. i glanced over at my tank and i dident see my anenome.so naturaly i started poking around and found it completly submerged in the sand.i pulled it out because i dident know if this was a good thing or not and its body is really hard and when i put it in it was soft and squishy.does this hard body mean that its dead?also hte top of the anenome (the tentacles) sucked itself into the bodyi can barely see the tips sticking out.

its normal for them to go into the sand at night did it suck all the way into it self and harden up means you scared him dont warry about moving the sand off him when he does that he will move out of the sand the next day when your lights come on least he is not moving all over the place he will find were he wants to live and he will plant that foot close at night and open durig the day. the sign of a healthy anomone is when he is out and you touch him he will sqezz water at you or twitch when you touch him thats a good sign if he closes up when you touch him even better means he feels threated. when there small thay will suck up as thay get bigger thay will stand there ground

sorry about the miss typs and spelling

1 more thing never ever ever remove his foot when its planted 1 tear in that foot will kill it also alot of people think becuse nothing is left behind when thay remove the foot from the location it is alright to do, signs of buying them laying on there sides foot no attached is what the outcome is, current blowing on them thay will sometimes release and find a new location means to mutch current if he moves around alot and is in a high area of light means maybe to mutch light or too little make shur to keap the water real clean or he wil start to travel make shur to feed him 1 time a week or he will start to shrink i love the little guys and have great luck with them

I love my LTA! Yes, it took about a week for mine to root into the sand and attach his foot. I was frieking out when I saw him rolling around in the current like a wagon wheel! They do withdraw into themselves sometimes, often inexplicably, so don't worry about it.
