Purple goo

I have 3 gal deco with one gobi, and shrimp, some hermit crabs, and two snails...whith a couple of corals.

My mushrooms have detatched from the rocks and formed a purple goo that seems to be eating the centers out of them...ARG!

Whats that stuff??? And can my mushrooms survive it?

Yah...I tried to take pictures but could not get a clear one...Its like purplish brown and waives in the current. Them mushrooms are long gone, and they went in like 2 days. it only happened to the mushrooms.
