so after a few days of some new zoas being open, now they wont open.can anyone shead some light on why they might not be opening

There are way too many reasons as to why they might not open. Too much flow, water conditions, something agitating them, sediment on them, fungus- those are just a few. Have you checked your water quality? Are they new to your tank- they may just need to get used to it if they are. I have had some close up for days to weeks and open up finally and some that never opened back up. How do the polyps look? plump and healthy? Or shriveled and brown?

a little more info would help out... water params? fish list? new to the tank or new to the colony? Any white spots (or other leisons, etc.)?

water perameters are just fine,scooter bleny,and new to my tank,i kinda looks like a fungus.

does the "fungus" look like pox or spiderwebs? (or something else alltogether?)

Did you dip them before going into your tank? If it is fungus it can spread to others. Describe what you see so we can try to help more
