Jim, I go thru a LOT of RC. No, I haven't had that problem. Usually an hour or less. Quick question:

Anything in the bucket like Kalk, or any possibility that you are using non-RO water (water with a lot of Ca in it)?

One more thought. How warm is the water? I mix mine with a pump that tends to warm it up a bit. But, if it's outside or in the garage...

These are the buckets Ive been using to mix for years, I dont think theres any contamination, I think though that Ill give them a good cleaning with vinegar and see what happens.,.... Thanks for the thought!

I have used RC for several years and love it. I usually warm the water with old heater and old power head to speed the mixing. Never had the cloud last for more than a few hours.

Could it be the container you are using to mix it in?
Do you have kids that could have contaminated the salt? I recently found my kids pouring some RC into a friends ant-farm to see if the ants wanted some salt...
