plexiglass aquarium?

I was looking on craigs list today, and there are some people selling plexiglass aquariums. I dont think that would work so well, but that is why I'm asking. what do yall think?

My first guess would be that they are not hobbyist selling the tanks but rather someone that happened to buy some of the acrylic tanks from Petco and does not really know anything about them. Do you have any links?

Either way, I don't think plexiglass will give you the clarity of acrylic.

$100 seems kinda fishy for a 600g tank. But perhaps he is just trying to unload it quick. At that price its always worth a look-see.

What's the difference between acrylic and plexiglass? A co-worker assures me that acrylic and plexi are the same thing EXACTLY!

plexiglass is one name brand of acrylic.

Plexiglass and acrylic are the same thing in most cases.
