They spawned yesterday. The babies (2 of them) are big enough now to get a picture. Is there any demand for onyx percula clowns? Hoping to get more out of the next batch.

Do a search for TexReefers clown breeding thread. Its a difficult process to grow and raise the clowns so that they properly develop.

I have been researching this for eight months. This was the first time I have had success getting them past the first three days. The two babies have good orange color with the first bar very apparent. The second bar won't show up until they are a month old. Will keep posting pictures as they grow. The parents have good coloring and are only fed Rod's food. They are in fact Rod's Onyx. The babies are two weeks old.

I'd love to have some. My tank is only a week old, roughly, so I'm not ready this instant or anything. I was planning on getting some from Rod directly, but if there are some closer(read: no shipping) I'd rather go that way. And I get to support another member in the process!

Where are you located?

These small ones won't be ready for several months. But I would love to have many more to raise and adopt out. Rod is certainly my mentor. We come from the same home town DeKalb, IL. I was out to his shop last summer and spent several hours learning how he raises his clowns. It is a difficult process and hope to hear from others who are doing this.

I am in New Braunfels. Rod has been my mentor as we are from the same home town DeKalb, IL. We just moved here a year ago. I spent several hours last August with Rod learning his clown rearing techniques. It is a very difficult process but seems like I am getting the idea.

Mikes clown rearing log should help with some comparisons, and you can probably give him some pointers on things that Rod taught you. I don't think you'll have trouble selling them.

How old is your mated pair? They don't seem to have full coloring yet is why I was asking.
