Wanted to see if there would be anyone interested in "showing off" their tank in a scheduled MAAST Tank Tour. Schedules/times would be based on locations. (North Austin/S Austin, dividing up SA) Anyone interested, please respond or send me a pm. I like to get this going, and maybe a set up a couple of tours next month. Meetings are getting too large for most peoples homes, yet we all want to share our tanks' progress with others. Also, this allows more MAASTARDS to get together and have some fun! Maybe we'll preview the next Tank of the Year.
What do ya'll think?

I'm out for about 4 months. Right in the middle of transitioning from the old tank to the new tank.

How does it work, exactly? I mean if we are all out touring everyone's tanks, who is left to show off your tank? Is there a schedule? Do we all kinda go in a group?
Just curious?

Thanks for all your replies and submissions. I'm still working out the details, of course schedules will be based off submissions and locations. Come on MAASTARDS, show us what you've got! We need more submissions to make this tour fun and successful!

Dont think enough people were really up to doing it. Most of us that said sure it would be fun are the regulars on the board, but even with us its not very many people. Ive seen tank tours on DFWs club site that looked like a lot of fun. Oh and have you seen the gas prices, Haha joking.

Bummer. I really wanted to look at everyone's tanks. Guess we'll have to resume with our window peeping plans.
Unless we could drum up some renewed interest? Notice that I was all excited about seeing everyone's tanks but did not even chime in on this thread... Anyone else?

What sucks for me is the time of year, family visiting or us on vacation. Everyone wants to travel during the spring or early summer before its to hot. We literally have 1 available weekend over the next 6 weeks which is the weekend of May 24 and 25th.

We can't do this weekend at all. I'll be out of town on business again and Mike will have his hands full. I'd be happy to coordinate something for the other weekend you mentioned being available (May 24 -25) if you don't end up getting a group together for this Saturday.

Oooh I want to go on an Austin tank tour in July! Yay!
If interested I guess I could my place into the agenda so that you may witness for yourselves the 28 gallon cube of wonder!!!!!! :hypnotyized: A chiller, a refuge, a pod farm, oh my!
However, I guarantee that my cats will steal the show so we will have to pretend to ignore them :P

I'm getting close to having the 215 fully functioning. Won't be much to look at as far as corals go (yet) but the equipment would be nice. Sould be ready to start moving things this coming weekend.
Some pointers / suggestions are most appreciated too.

Uh - that sounded a bit sarcastic - didn't it... Didn't mean it THAT way - meant that we're in on having the tour stop by, as long as we aren't at the coast!
