im needing some more flow in the tank with the new scape i have now after moving so im gonna get some hydors. the tank is a 100 gal 60in long 18 deep and 21 tall. i would like to get two hydors but should i get two 3s or two 4s keep in mind i do have a DSB but i am also a fan of awesome flow.

I would probably go with the 2-4's since your tank is so long.

If you still need more flow you can mod the #4's with a vortech prop and double the amount of flow. its plug and play, remove old replace with new. Hope that helps!

JimD, can you use the modified Maxi's with a wavemaker. I know with the Koralia's, they do not work with a wavemaker.

I dont think Maxi's respond well to wavemakers, you need a soft start device to run them properly. Ive never used one so I really cant help with a link. I 'think' the Seio controller is the one that most people use. But I do know that these mods work very well and will start in the correct direction when the're restarted. Best 15 bucks Ive spent in a long time! They blow the Hydors away.
