I just did a double take on this post... 3 months, and you already have a clam... yikes! Do you have a halide? Skimmer?

I've taken the 1st chamber and filled w/ live rock, 2nd chamber is w/ cheato, 3rd chamber is stock (i will be upgrading the pump soon). Lighting at the moment is the stock pc lights that came w/ the biocube, I will be upgrading the lighting to a viper 70w mh (hope to order it w/ in the week).

No skimmer, 10% water changes done every thursday...we plan on plumbing in the 8g and use it as a fuge, i have a hob skimmer that I will tie in to the fuge when this is done.

Erikharrison- The clam has been in the tank for 3 weeks, going strong and really showing some color. At the moment we keep up as close to the lighting as possible, i've seen a few more Biocubes w/ clams in them. However with the addition of the MH I think this tank will thrive much more.

Thats a Squamosa clam, probably the highest light demanding clam available in the hobby. It may look good now but improper lighting will generaly cause a slow demise, get that light asap! Nice tank and welcome to the funny farm.

yep squammies have scutes(sp?) on their shells, and i don't think you'd find a solid blue one.
