my son put pennies in one of my water containers. i haven't yet, but does anyone have an opinion about whether i should use the container anymore. if it were as simple as him putting dry pennies in the whilst the containers were dry i wouldn't even give it a second thought. There was about a gallon of saltwater and 3 pennies that sat for about 3, maybe 4 days. don't know.

always air on the side of caution? I personally would kick the bucket and get a new one.

if the pH of your water is off of neutral then there is a posssiblillity of copper being in the water but it will be a tiny amount... nowhere near the amount that is dosed in a copper treatment.

I agree those three pennies will not do much if any harm. Id empty it and just give it a good rinse with vinegar and hot water.

If the pennies were made after 1982 they only have about 2% copper in them. I wouldn't worry too much about your container. Just rinse it out and it should be fine!!!
