How Do I Cut Glass In A Tank That Already Has Water

Are you asking about drilling an already established tank? If so you generally drain about 3" of water and drill the side of the tank near the top. I've heard several stories of floating paper towels to catch any debris that might get in the tank.

Equipment=Drill, not a hammer drill, and diamond bit hole saw.

where to get it= (drill=Home Depot) (I am not sure if HD carries them but should be able to order them or just find them on-line.

Anyone who cuts glass (I am guessing you mean drill)= some LFS do but that only means you are taking your tank to them. there are some people here that do it but I can't think of anyone who is in NB, though really not that far away here in SA the only one I can think of is ACE.

Just remember that, and this is my assumption, your tank is against a wall and you want the holes drilled in the back that is about 6 or so inches away from the wall or you are wanting the bottom drilled which = Eriks post, drain it. You can do like caferacermike said but you do run the risk of dropping stuff into the tank. and this is just my $.02
