i need to grow some algae on my glass for my lawnmower blenny because im going to upgrade my tank is their any way to do this without having to higher my nitrates?

Yes feed more, but increase it slowly
By increasing it slowly it will give the nutrient removal source(algae) time to grow and remove any excess nutrients. In a week or so you will notice more algae on the glass. Just take it slow. don't worry about nitrates that is at the end of the nitrogen cycle, you can still have algae with undetectable amounts of nitrates. This will also greatly improve the health of the tank IMHO

i will be switching tanks right now the tank im upgrading to is a freshwater which will be put o=in my reeftank that is going in the old freshwater tank
