I have an urchin that hitchiked in on some rock that has been in there for a while! I finally took it out and put it in my QT. I wonder if some could ID it wihout a picture, it has a dark almost black body with like green spines. The urchin is about the size of a ping pong ball and the spines are about .5 long. Any Ideas?
Thanks
Rob

thats a rock borer, i kept one in my tank for over a year. he will bore a hole in a rock and then come out at night to graze on algea. mine was fine until i caught him on my backglass eating my corraline. i took him to an lfs. they say on occasion someone will come in looking for one.
