I have a 200g. with water evaparation some between 1.5 to 2.0 gallon a day. I have found alot of water condesation to the window frame(on the inside of the house) that 12 feet behind the tank.My tank is about 50% enclosure except to the back of my canopy is open. could this water condesation from my tank? something is wrong with my A/C? or my window seal need to be reseal? My house is only 5yr. old. Or do i need a dehumifier?..thx

i add anywhere from 5 to 6 gallons a day to my 180, and I belive it has PLENTY to do with the condensation in the house. My skylights drip all night long all over the floor and my window sills are puddled by morning. It alo depends on the weather.

Is the condensate between the window panes? If so, it's a problem with your window.

It is outside of the panes.

Sounds like you're gonna have to invest in a good dehumidifier. May want to call an A/C company for advice. Evaporation is humidity dependent so the higher the humidity the less evap and the,, lower,,,, blah blah blah... If youre using a chiller your evap would most likely be less but youll still get a lot because of the lights, kinda like a catch-22. Some newer A/C units like yours, may have an attachment you can get for your unit that will keep the humidity at a constant level indoors, something you might want to check into.

Check your windows for air leaks. The condensation is forming where ever it's coldest.
