As Rob says... A bit more - no, a LOT more info please. Tank parms, how long have you had him, etc.
Mine eat regular food, aggressively...

Tanks been up for 7 weeks. the water is tested every other day. I do 10% weekly water changes with ro/di water. Calcuim= 440 ppm, KH= dkh 10, phos= 0.0 on api kit,nitrates=0.0 on api test kit, water temp stays at 78-79. I run a tunze skimmer 24/7 I also have an air driven skimmer that comes on at night with the moon light. I have filter floss, purigen in a
tunze filter. I was thinking of running Phosban and carbon in the filter also what do you think about that?
I put the fish in the refuge to see if it might be stressed from another fish, he darkened up and seems to be breathing slower. I think hideing in the algea might be calming him down. there is plenty to eat in there so if he starts eating maybe he'll make it.. the only thing I did different was added prodibio last monday. I have noticed I no longer have to scrap the glass
everyday for hair algea. Maybe the smaller hair algea are dieing from the prodibio and starving the fish, I dont know.

Prodibio is some sort of dosing isn't it? I would stop that and see it's behavior?

Been in the tank for about 3-4 weeks and was eating the day I put him in. I think the damsal
streesed him out.

Many people get lawnmowers to eat algae, but in a young tank, there is usually not enough algae to support them. I understand that there was hair algae, but maybe wait until you have other algaes thriving before you consider getting another. I have had good luck with them, but mine eats dried seaweed for tangs, flakes, brine, mysis, emerald entree, plankton, and algae from the tank. Many will not eat anything other than algae. Make the store feed a squirt of brine before you get another. If it eats it, it will probably eat anything you offer it. If not, don't chance it.
