I have a 5"-6" Blonde Naso and I have tried all types of prepared foods and algae sheets, even soaked in garlic,, he wont touch any of it... the ONLY thing we will eat is a brown algae that grow in my refugium,, the problem is there is not near enough of it! It is a Brownish-red frilly looking algea almost like lettuce.. he loves it but I have no idea what it is or if I can even get it anywhere,,,

Post a pic. With all the "junk" I have growing, I might just be another source!
Also, have you tried caulerpa? My tangs tear it up.

Hmm . . . might have to introduce it to another tang that is eating all kinds of food so it gets the hint it is good to eat what you feed it. I had a hippo tang that would not touch dried seaweed. Then I added another tang to the tank that ate it. Once the hippo tang saw the other tang eating it, it joined in!
Or maybe if it runs out of the live algae, it will get hungry enough to try something different.

I've owned 2 Naso tangs and and other tangs and never had a problem with them not eating a variety of food. Sounds like Mike just got a picky one. Hopefully it comes around and starts eating other things soon.
