He's in New Braunfels, and PM is based in New Braunfels. ;)
Still, I think it's OK to sell stuff like this, could be a huge benefit to our members.

I just called PM and the guy that answered said that PM has nothing to do with these being sold on here. Simply that it was the end of the year so these were products sitting around that needed to go so they were given to a employee to do with them what he pleased (obviuosly he is selling them) at bargain prices. He also preceded to say they are not under warantee because again PM is not selling them..... With all this said im sure you are a ok selling these here.
I want one of the BG30's; it will be perfect for my FOWLR with the dual micro bag holder and room for my skimmer and return pump. I cant pick up untill Saturday if ok. I will be passing through on my way to Austin for Christmas. Let me know.

i am not a retailer, I work for PM and we are just trying to clear out some space in the shop...these almost got thrown away but i repaired them so they could be sold. Ive built EVERY single PM sump for the past 6 years....the repairs are solid.
the diff between the BG30 and the BL30 is the bg30 has micron bags + a sponge and the BL just has a sponge.

This is very borderline retail sales. Please understand that we protect our sponsors because of their support and financial contributions. These pictures were taken at the PM shop and you said "we" are trying to clear out space. It is also suspicious that your first post is for selling a large amount of equipment. Understand that we have had in the past, a lot of this happen and will be watching this. I do not know you, so it is hard to make much judgment here. If you are a legitimate reefer trying to sell a few things to help support your hobby, please post pix of your set-up and welcome to Maast but if not, please be advised that this is a ONE-TIME DEAL. Any other posts of this nature will require paying a Sponsorship Fee.

I think he's in the clear Steve, even if it was direct from the shop it's damaged goods and not really retail type stuff so it doesn't compete with sponsors.

Steve, I fully understand your concern; I even appriciate it. Its great mods like yourself who enforce the rules that makes forums such as this one so enjoyable. I knew before I posted these for sale that it would look sketchy (especially since it was my first post). Here was the deal with these sumps. The owner of PM (my boss) told me to throw all the damaged sumps in the dumpster that we had laying around taking up space. so i rounded them all up and realized it wouldnt take much to repair them. So i asked the boss if I could repair them and try to sell them for what we had in them. Ill break down our cost for what it took to build each one of these. they each have over $50 in materials (american cell cast acrylic) and over $30 in labor for each one.
The last thing I want to do is get a bad rep on this board, and more importantly give PM a bad rep. I thought it would be a good chance for some people who wouldnt normally spend over 300 to get a top of the line sump.
as for me being a hobbyist, i dont have a salt setup at this time (working on a 250 reef tank) but heres a pic of my freshwater tank i built about a year ago.
