Can you have both a foxface lo and a tomini tang?

i dont see why they wouldnt be ok.. unless one individual has an unusually agressive personallity

They would be fine together; as long as the aquarium is big enough. I have a fox face with a Blue hippo and sailfin tang in a 210g.

I already have the Lo, and it's definitely not agressive. Here's what the current owner of the tomini said about getting rid of it:

"The reason I want to sell it is because I bought a carpenter's flasher wrasse and the tang chases him all over. He is also being territorial with the new gold rim tang I have".


I'm thinking he just doesn't like the new fish, but since he'll be the new one in my tank, it might be OK. He'll be joing my Lo, a Coral Beauty, and a Neon Dottyback in a 120gal tank (48x24x24).

You will find that most of us agree that tangs are better off in 6ft tanks in the long haul, but as a Juvi your tank is great. You should be ok adding the tang to your tank; because the fish have already established their territories. If you do see signs of aggression rearrange some of the rocks; which will force them to make new homes in the tank. Good Luck :)

Ray, it's funny you mention the 6' thing. Mine all seem to get along fine. I think I have 6 or 7 in mine? Even the Sohal has adjusted well, and is behaving him/herself.

Who knows, every fish Ive had to catch was diffrent from the last. Some i simply feed and when they came close I scooped them out:bigsmile:. Others Ive had to completely take apart a tank:bigsmile:.

I have a 75g with a scopas, foxface, yellow tang, and gold rim. They all get along well

Also used to have powder blue, and brown, but they started getting nasty with my goldrim.
