I was wondering what y'all think is the widest varied fish food for herbivores, nameably Tangs/Surgeonfish. I am looking for an all in one based food that tangs go bananas over.

:( I need to pick up some emerald entree! I used to feed that, but my fish never really liked it. They go nuts over EDOMAE seaweed wraps (for sushi) from H-E-B, but I have yet to find something that they are so attracted to. I just want to spice it up for them

I thought I heard someone say recently NOT to feed broccoli? Can't remember for sure, might have been another vegetable someone was feeding.
I buy several types of frozen foods and then mix a batch (about a weeks worth of feeding) together in RO/DI water to keep in my fridge. I usually buy the San Francisco Bay brand Saltwater Multi-Pack (Marine Cuisine, Emerald Entree, Squid, and Brine Shrimp), pop one cube of each and then add more Emerald Entree, Mysis Shrimp, and Reef Plankton. I recently got a pack of that Rod's Food so I add some of that as well. All that mixed together keeps my two tangs, flame angel, and six-line wrasse happy. I try to put a strip of dried seaweed in every day as well.

Zucchini is great for herbivores. Ive never feed it to my tangs but my african cichlids use to go nuts over it. cut it into spears and rubberband it to a rock, after 8hours or so remove what little is left :) Im sure tangs and any other SW herbivore will love it too.

I used to use zucchini for freshwater as well, but I would dip it in boiling water a few times before putting it in the tank. I think that's called blanching? I can't remember where I read to do that first.

I also feed my fish Formula 2 flake and Prime reef flake. They go nuts over this stuff. Feeding 9 medium size fish twice a day make you go through a can fast!

Nori = sushi wraps from a Asian market is very inexpensive.
However, Nori is not a balanced diet. A good diet consists of a varied diet. Macro from a fuge is a quality food, as it contains plankton in an unprocessed state. I feed Nori every day and add a cube of a different frozen food every evening.
Formula one and two
Spirulina brine
Mysis Shrimp
Cyclops

Cool, I picked up some formula two last night, and some spirulina. I do feed mysis daily! My clown tang (which is the smallest) even ate some of my feeder shrimp for my goblin. I was pretty suprised!

Buy the cheap stuff. It's all in the quality of how it looks.
