So in 3 days I built and painted my new stand!

my old stand would not allow me to place a new sump under it without many modifications so I built a new one and today will take down the old stand and bring up the new one. It is 39" high and is 14" wide except the bottom which is 16" wide.

I also did not want everything on the ground like the last one and I wanted room to move. It was not as stable as I wanted it so I added some legs for support. Later I will attach walls to the outside and a door to hide the frame but this is all I can afford.

So what do you guys think? Is it good? Feel it is safe? The frame is 2x6's and the legs are 2x4's. Now all I need is a sump but some are for sale... lucky me we hope.

If not... where can you buy 3/8" acrylic?

This is my first project and am kind of nervous... so any input would be great. I know the paint was... well messed up. Should have painted BEFORE hand so all spots would be covered but my first time. Also got a spot paint tonight not in the photo.

make sure to polyurethane the crap out of it to protect it from spillage.

Ditto what he said about sealing it. This is a very important step. Do you plan on skinning it, or do you want to see the sump and equipment.

I will one day skin it. Right now I am tight on money and need to make a sump and Refug. So starting on that next if the ones on sale do not workout.

I will start on another coat of poly just to be safe I guess.

Thanks a ton guys.
