Cycle time

I started a new 12g biocube with new dry substrate, but used live rock, rubble and water from my main tank. Do I really need to worry about a cycle?

If youre using the rock, rubble, and water from your existing established tank, I would say that youre not even going to experience a cycle...

The water wont make a difference, but like sean said if the rock and sand is from the old tank you wont experience a cycle. If the sand is new you may go through a small cycle.
