Rock Work ideas

Im not happy with the rock work in my 210. I have approx 115 lbs so obviously it doesnt fill the tank, but I want to make it look like more than it really is. I prefer not to buy much more rock because I want lots of swimming spaces for the larger fish. Does anyone have any examples of PVC structures or eggcrate? I know a few of you have done this but i have never really looked at the structure itself.

i use fiberglass poles, run through holes drilled in the rock. it works great. i used some old tent poles, but i've heard of others using the poles from those orange flags made for kids bikes. some folks even use pieces of plastic coathanger. this allows you to make very light and airy(or would that be watery?)structures. i have some overhangs in my tank that probably couldn't have been done any other way.

I made a big cage with alot of channels within the cage (pvc and egg crate) and then stacking rocks all around it. Use small rocks for filler.Just like TEXREEF and BSTREEP tanks..

That aquarium is amazing; I posted a comment about it a few weeks ago. He doesnt go into much depth on how he attached the rock to the PVC. His structures look like one large piece versus several rock. Heck of a aquascape artist.

its not the first time ive seen the idea ive seen it done in the past ive tried to emulate it but i think i did it wrong i tried to set the rock on top of PVC but i bet if i was to thread it on like a string of beads it would work

Chris this guy didnt string them on. The structure was completly put together then he added the rock. If you look at the pics you can see the PVC glue; so there is no way he undid the pvc to put the rocks on. I will have to experirment

yea I think thats how the other tank may have been done ill have to see if i can find it again.
