I went ahead and made steel stands for both my tanks, now I cant decide if I should paint them with POR 15 or get them rhino lined. Those that had your stands rhino lined can you pm what it cost and who did it please. I know how much it would cost to paint them, just want to compare. Since one stand is 12' long I dont really want to drag them around to the liner places for estimates.
thanks

You want LINE-X and the owner in SA is a MAAST member! Dan.

Get in touch with Michael (LoneStar) as he'll have Dan's phone numbers etc.

PM sent over the Line X details MoneyTank

Yup you want to contact Dan. Line X of San Antonio: 210-522-1122

Personal preference here is Line X. Not just because my buddy owns a shop but from personal experiences in all three materials ( POR 15, Line X, and Rhino Liner). POR 15 is a superior product, and I have used it in friends Jeep in the past. Great product, but not as good for a aquarium stand, only for the fact if you move the stand, it will gouge and chip. As for Rhino Liner, it does not hold up as well in the long run as Line X.

If anyone is considering coating their metal stands, what you will need to do is take a photo of the stand. Also figure out how many linear feet of material you used to build it too. Remember that although there my not be as much surfice area, it will take just as many strokes of the gun to cover it (since you have a wide spray pattern from the paint gun going onto a narrow surface...hence a lot of material lost to overspray). If your stand is pretty complex, figure spending as much as a small bedliner on a truck. If it is more simple, for a smaller tank, it won't be too bad. Plus your in and out real quick and its ready to go within a minute of being sprayed!
