Cool, Randy is very knowledgable. I had the chance to talk to him when he was in town for the World Aquaculture convention this year. I have been very satisfied with his products. Reed mariculture produces live aquatic supplys not only for the aquarium industry, but for large scale aquaculture as well.

I would like to attend.

Do you have any more details on exactly what topics he will be talking about?

I would be most interested in topics related to aquaculture techniques on a hobbyist level such as...techniques for culturing phytoplankton (particularly the more difficult species), nutritional profiles of various phyto species, techniques for culturing copepods (benthic & pelagic).

Superb meeting. Thanks Mike for getting this together. A very special thanks to Randy for coming and making this presentation. I believe we all learned a lot. We had a tremendous turnout of approx. 68 people. I also believe we found a good meeting place. Afterwards, I spoke with the Mgr on duty and thanked him. He was very happy with our contentment and welcomed us to use their facility anytime.

Thanks everyone for coming...

Usually, representitives from companies turn speaking engagements into nothing more than a sales pitch for their products, but I found Randy's discussion was very educational and informative. A big thanks to Randy and the BOD for a great meeting and it sounds like this will be a good year for the club!

Ditto. I am waiting for the Rotifer posts to start piling in. I can't wait to do it myself. It was a GREAT turnout, and thank you to all that had the opportunity to come.
Also, thanks to those that renewed, and to the MAAST newbies. 25 dollars is nothing to pay when you get to have speakers like Randy. :)

sharkboy....you can find info also at www.copepods.com (http://www.copepods.com) - www.rotifers.com (http://www.rotifers.com) also.

I personally don't know of anyone that taped the presentation. There were some brochures handed out that are very informative. Maybe someone has an extra or two??

I just got home to in time to read how everyone that attended the meeting felt the same way as I did. I haven't been to a ton of meetings but enough to single it out as the best meeting that I have ever attended. It was worth every drop of gas to and from Corpus Christi. Randy was very knowledgeable and informative. -David

What about contacting Randy and asking him if he could email a copy of the PowerPoint presentation?
That would be better than nothing for the people who could not attend. Of course, it's always better to hear the presentation while seeing/reading the slides, but this may be the best we can do.
