I picked up a cool rock last month from texas tropical for 10 bucks with 4 mushrooms showing. There are two mushrooms that have a multicolor look green/brownish and a couple of other red mushrooms on it. However, I dont know the name of the muliple colored mushroom, AND I discovered a new little white growth on the rock as well. I cropped out a pic with them in it and here they are. Anyone know what they are?

TIA

Warm welcome to MAAST

Can't tell from the picture about the white "thing", but the mushroom does indeed appear to be a Ricordea

It might be some white sponge. We had some white sponge coming in by one of our mushrooms, which we pulled and placed elsewhere.

hey, thanks for the welcome, guys! I have a 75 gallon reef tank, i'll take some pics later. 97kb is the limit for pics, right? Sorry the pic is so small, thats the biggest i could get the jpg and still be under 97kb

my small pic comment wasnt so much to point out that vs the fact that im half blind (i currently have an eye infection) haha

if you picked up that ric for $10 id say you got a steal, most go for $20-30 so when it splits you can double your money on it :D

the white thing may be a baby mushroom or a baby fungia plate - hard to tell.
