aggressive hermit crab

i have a hermit crab that can be a little demonic one time i had a nassarius snail and when he saw it he ripped it out of its shell and didnt do anything with the shell also i need sponges for my tank

some hermits will do that main reason is not enough food for it and also need a bigger shell the one that does that the most are the red scarlets. i would add some empty shells big enough for him to swap out of and some green seaweed that should help with the agression

i have some shells in ther i put green seaweed in for the fish it was a while back that he did it he is a blue leg and he did it to other hermits before that their shells were to small for him i added two red legs today and he hasnt touched them yet
