Wet skimming

I posted in another thread that my new octopus skimmer is already skimming some nasty stuff after only a few day of breaking in. The skim is wet though, do I need to adjust the riser or does it just take some time to start getting thick?

If the riser is adjustable, then yes, move it up so its about 1/8th below the water surface.

Ray, you need to lower the riser if its to wet.
