Just a brief announcement of my up-coming tank build. As most know, I won the 90g tank raffle. Well I have made arrangements with Carlos at Rivercity to upgrade this tank to a 280g. This will be a 72" x 30" x 30" peninsula with end Calfo and bottom-drilled closed loop. I will be using my current 135g for my "Sumo-sump" . This will be photo intensive, so be prepared.

So.......stay tuned.....

peninsula tanks rock!!!!!

Tagging along

Carlos is the best at giving you a good price and the worst at keeping you in your budget or current tank.

I found out some really sweet news today. In the pricing for the new tank, Carlos, already had the euro bracing figured in along with 5 holes drilled. I just need to add the cost of two more holes. Two holes (2" bukheads) are for the Calfo, 1- 2" for the closed loop intake and 4- 1" in each corner of the bottom for the Ocean motion 4 way. I will be runnin 4 returns off of a Dart pump to the top corners of the tank for some serious flow.

MAN, I can't wait....

Well, just got a PM from Carlos @ RC and my tank didn't get put on the truck coming this week. The shop is off this week for the holidays and he won't have anyone to gripe at till next week. Carlos is so upset about it that he wants to bring the tank to me in SA when it arrives. What a Guy! This just gives me more planning time! So. I'll update when I get news...

Hopefully the tank will be in tomorrow. I'm not sure if Carlos is still gonna deliver. I have a call in to him now for him to call me. I might need help unloading at my house. I do have the Maast cart and maybe some glass cups. Will keep everybody informed.

Just a little updating...

I have just about everything for the tank but a Calfo (hint..hint...). I picked-up a OM 4way today from a member of DFWMAS, it came with two extra drums for $250 shipped. Really sweet! Now my wife just needs to pick a house! This is going to be a sweet set-up.....when it gets set-up! Anxious to start posting pix....
