For those that are familiar with them is common or should I be worried....
All my tank parameters are normal and I check them weekly. Everything is normal...

I have had them for almost 3 weeks and they look real heathy:wink_smile:

Over the last couple of days the red has been turning into a real nice purple. the first pic is when I first put it into the tank. The second is from today......

The first pic looks as though it was open in feeding mode. The second looks a little more stressed. Thats my opinion. Where are they located in your tank?? What is the flow and lighting?

It's located at the bottom half of the tank with moderate flow.

Is it constantly that way?? It appears to just be closed, but parts look to be growing, so maybe it's just aggrivated.

I'm going to move it today and see what happens over the week.

Blastos seem to like very low light.

They also like to be fed.

They can also be VERY hard to keep sometimes and easy other times. Weird coral.

I agree with TT. My B. wellsi is located under an overhang, and in the shade of one of my frogspawns and they also like slow flow. Very picky coral though... I've heard theories about certain colorations being more difficult to keep, but that could just be hearsay.

In the 2nd pic, is that the most they puff up during the day? It seems like there has been some growth (noticed that the 2 half-polyps has filled in)... but they should not be looking like the 2nd pic 24/7.
