It's irritated, have you checked around the base?

I've checked and can't see if anything is irritating them. It's only on my PPE type paly's. The odd thing is that it is not able to close. If something were to land or feed on it is unable to protect itself by closing.

I know for sure its not zoa pox. Ive had that in the past and this is totally different. There are no external bumps or leasions. The polyp is extremely stressed. It has done this in the past and I've actually noticed that it does it when a new bud is forming, which there is one now forming. The polyp today looks almost completely shriveled so I think its lost. The other polyps however look totally fine. I've checked my water and all parameters seem in spec.

They say you can treat the pox with some moderate success using FuranII medication.
