try live macro algea and see if you have a rock with lots of sponge on it. they eat sponge and nip at rocks all the time. also find frozen angel food.

Try frozen freshwater Mysis Shrimp that AD sells. Large Angel fish can get very hard headed and refuse to eat. It once took me three weeks to get a Chrysurus to eat. You might want to keep a veggie clip full of Seaweed Selects for him so when your not around he might pick at it?

Have you tride tempting him with garlic extract? If not Soak the food in garlic extract and put it near the cave and see if that works

A few years back I had a Rock Beauty that went over 3 weeks and went about 24 hours from death, before eating. Within a couple of weeks, it was eating out of my hand!

FW Mysis is good. Also like the thought on an "ugly" rock to graze on. I probably have a couple you can have.

I would try live brine shrimp. You can gut load them with garlic and whatever liquid vitamins you want to get down the fish. Something alive and swimming by might trigger the feeding response you are looking for. I can usually get my most finicky eaters to eat with this method. Fintique gets live brine in on Thursday mornings but it sells QUICK so you have to get down there and snatch it up fast.
