email notifications

I have my profile set to email me when I receive new PM's and for when threads I am subscribed to are updated, but I have not received any emails in awhile now. It's not my email filter as I would see them before they get deleted. Is there something else I need to check or is the system just not sending out emails?

I get emails on both pm's and subscribed threads so the system is sending them out.

When the site was switched over you would have to re-subscribe to them again since its different software.

also make sure you select instant email notification when subscribing. I will check your account to make sure nothing is messed up with it

I have had all those settings selected and I get nothing.

for some reason the system says you never sent in your confirmation email. So I went around that and reset your account to confirmed. Let me know if that works

Still not getting any notifications. Really strange. I used to get them all the time with the old site.

Weird, I reset your account and double checked everything so I don't know?
Only thing I can tell you is check your email account and email client your using again as the system is sending emails out. I will post the problem on the softwares forum.

captex, you might make sure that the messages aren't going into a bulk/spam folder. Try adding admin@maast.org to your address book, that way it wouldn't have a problem getting into your inbox.

I already check my bulk/spam folder daily before emptying it and there are no emails from Maast there. I don't automatically empty that folder as I've found it does sometimes send regular email there.

I didn't get anything. I'm using AT&T/SBC DSL and I know others here have it as well so I'm not sure why mine would be blocking out the email somewow. I do seem to remember having issues a few years go with the old site and Chris had to fix something, not sure what it was.

thats really weird too as it didn't kick the mail back so it was delivered somewhere?


and I'm using the same service as you and it works for me. I will try to figure it out whats going on I'm totally confused now

Hey Brian when you get the chance can you reset mine or make sure that I checked everything I was supposed to. I am having the same problem of no e-mail notification. I have received one e-mail from Tony pertaining to the site, but no others. I am on sbc also. Thanks, John

did you try adding the admin email to your address book? I have had problems with getting emails in the past, and that fixed it for me... Also, I know this seems silly, but maybe double check your User CP, to make sure that your email address is typed correctly since you arent getting anything at all from the site...

Yes I added it although again, I review all my bulk email folder before they are deleted so I would know if the emails are going there. I've checked my email address, even changed it to a different yahoo name and still nothing.
