So are they able to do this without the wireless controller? Anyone have any of these pumps?

that display was AWESOME! i think you have to have the new wireless controllers to do that. not sure if they are available yet.

Pretty cool. The air bubbles circling around on the first tank was kind of strange. So if it's wireless and you have a controller, does that mean you could drive by someone's house that also has these and mess with their tank? LOL :-)

WOWWWWWWWWWW! Those rock, literally! Proof once more that it's not just the motion in the ocean, but the size of the wave!!! That... is an awesome display!

Someone had mentioned this in another thread of mine.....who needs a closed loop with all the extra equipment, when these vortechs (although expensive) can do the trick...no drilling, less electricity...not bad....the savings in you electrical bill will eventually pay for these if you can make that initial investment.

Ace, like you said, I don't think they are out yet either. So will you need a controller for each vortech you place in your tank? Or will one controller work on two Vortechs? I got this from another thread and they said it was a MACNA presentation.....

they had some kind of shiny blue material in the tanks that was bouyant and moved around with the current.

Ah but in the end are they worth it? The only tank I've seen with the Vortech pump had 2 of the impeller heads lying on the bottom of the tank. Owner said they were junk and constantly fell apart.

Someone from another site I frequent said the same thing about them being garbage and not worth the money, but these things are fairly new if I am not mistaken. New items always have bugs that need to be worked out. But if the unit alone is $350 I can't imagin what it would be with the controller, and if you want two in the tank, how much will that cost....$700 plus two controllers...that is rather steep.

Just got an email advertisement from Marine Depot and they have these with the wireless controllers available for $420. Free shipping though! LOL
