Very cool; I would think the shape itself would actually reflect more light down versus the standard rectangular reflectors.

this is what i was told.... lumenarc is a trademarked name, and the lumenbrights are made by the same person who made lumenarcs for the other company. he decided to start selling them himself, but because of the trademark, he changed the design and the name.
