IN MY OPINION, Jason and his staff are the most customer oriented/friendly retailer that San Antonio and surrounding areas has to offer. My husband and I frequently shop at their store on Sundays, and have interrupted many of their lunches, and they have never complained. They always go out of their way to help and educate responsibly. We have made several special requests and Jason always does his best to order what we are looking for. Tonight, we entered Aquarium Designs about closing time, and again his team did an outstanding job providing excellent customer service. Not only did we purchase many great coral/fish, Jason spent his time (after the store was closed) and educated me on a test kit I purchased for a great deal.
I work for a business, that is prides itself on great customer service, and value to their customers, and it is truly a pleasure, to shop at another retailer that shares the same values/ethics that I believe in.
I just wanted, one to give credit to his "team" for always doing a great job, and for keeping good, quality livestock in tanks, that are lit and clean. I would recommend Aquarium Designs to any person that is new to the hobby as I am, or to the more educated hobbiest , who is looking for a great store to shop, with a friendly atmosphere.

I think that most of us feel the same way. I will say that some people may have gotten the wrong impression of Jason because they don't understand his personality. He and his staff (big ups to Lance) are wise and very cool to boot. One of the guys there is buddies with Louis, and their core group of employees is rock solid. It's a store that I can say that I ENJOY going to, just to visit with Jason and his great group of guys. THEY HAVE KORALIAS IN STOCK. If you don't see them, LOOK UP! :) Since Louis closed, for us on the Northside, this is the best store in the area. I do shop around, and good deals can be found everywhere, but I have gone to other stores for a longer time than I have AD, and they haven't even asked my name. Jason can tell ME what I have in my tank, haha. Cheri, please tell Steve to stay out of the store and leave some stuff for everyone else :rofl:

My first experience there was excellent. It was well organized and the staff was very helpful. Greta job guys keep it up. Also I happened to be there right a scheri and steve were wiping the store out clean!!

i think what i appreciate most is the large selection of corals that are clearly labeled. not having to ask for the price of everything is great, because sometimes i don't wanna talk to anybody. the staff is wonderful, even relatively nice to me even though i rarely buy anything. besides, it's the only shop left near me, what with fishy bidness and the warehouse gone. although i'll have to check out the new place at blanco

Just came from AD and picked up twp hydor pumps. Also picked up a beautiful colve coral that has a unique coloring to it (:bigsmile:) someone called BB had tried to reserve it but I got it. :applause: . just kidding Steve (BB) Jason forced me to type this. Jason and his team do go out of their way for customer service.

Wish I could blame it all on Steve, but since I have joined the hobby (after cursing it and Steve for years,) Steve has been very supportive in letting me pick out some corals that I like, and since we spend hours trying to decide what I want, he just tells them to bag it. What a Hubby! And yes Steve gets to get a few great pieces of coral too.

Yes, Yes, & Yes. Being from Corpus Christi, I get asked often by the local regulars in our 1 LFS which SA LFS to visit when they come up here. I always point them to :thumbs_up:Aquarium Designs:thumbs_up:. It's like a friend asking your valued opinion on which restaurante to eat at. You want them to come back and tell you, "Man, that place was awesome". There are some other good Fish Shops in SA, but Jason, and his staff really stand out when I comes to Customer Service, knowledge of product and live stock, amount of stock, and most of all, the cleanliness of the entire store. I mean DUDE, you could eat off the bathroom floor :D. No really, I for one really enjoy this store. If you have never been there, give it a visit some time in the near future.

Ok let me get this straight...... I need to go to Jason's store so I can see his restroom :sick: I would rather go there and buy awesome corals (which he has lots of) and equipment.

And I might add that Jason has generously donated to our school tanks and is always there in times of need!!

employees are great they know what they are talking about and he carries the items that we need in a pinch.
