For all of you that are using this two part method, http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php , where do you find the calcium locally? There are a lot of you can use this and that, but I would like to know what you are using and where you bought it from. TIA!

One thing you should know is that apparently Dow is changing the production of dowflake in some way which will make it possibly unsafe for reef use. I'm not sure when that will kick in, but they've been talking about it on the chemistry on RC. You could look for another calcium chloride source. I've seen Dupont calcium hardness increaser at Lowe's and it looks exactly like Kent turbo calcium. I hae no idea if it is the same, but Dupont might know. You also might find a deal on larger quantities of calcium chloride from aquarium vendors; does ESV sell a 5 lb tub?
Another product that's re-packaged dowflake is called Prestone Driveway Heat, which you might be able to get at autozone or someplace like that.
