I have a Gorgonian that I bought a while back and it's not attached to a rock. The critters (namely Turbo snails) keep knocking it over whenever they cruise by. I would like to mount it on a piece of rock and need to know:

Can I remove it from the water while mounting or does it need to stay underwater like sponges? LFS told me to never allow it to touch air so I don't want to do anything that would harm it in any way.

What is a good "glue" to use to accomplish this task?

Thanks for any help.

Fragging Gorgonians (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-10/fotm/index.php)

Also, if you do use the dollar store stuff, make sure you get super glue gel and not the regular stuff. Make sure the base of the frag is pretty dry, then apply the glue. Once superglue hits water it forms a "skin" if you will around the gel because it is already starting to cure. Hold it in place for as long as it takes! Some frags could only use a dab of it, while others will take the entire tube. Do yourself a favor and overbuy it! It sucks to have to drive back to go get more!!! :)

Thanks for the info! And yes it would suck for me to have to go to the store for more since I'm out in the sticks and 10 miles away from the closest civilization
