Cleaning stuff out for a house move and have an old big tank that has a couple busted sides.

Only thing I can see worth salvaging is perhaps the side acrylic corner overflows. Otherwise is it just taking a sledgehammer to it and tossing in the garbage?

Sounds like fun! But see if anyone here would be interested in the glass. Its not cheap and someone might be able to use it for non aquarium projects.

good point, I assume trying to replace a couple of panels of 1/2 inch glass for a big tank doesn't make any economical sense

I'll pull apart the remaining stuff and then offer it up for grabs, good idea

if you dispose of any glass, it is a good idea to seal it in a sturdy box and label it broken glass so the garbage collectors know about it. very unsafe to put broken glass into a trash can and cover it with other trash. (sorry, im a science teacher and safe waste disposal is always a priority)
