I have heard the CPR is great, but also the most expensive on the list... Go Figure.

Prizm is absolute garbage. A friend of mine bought one and it rarely did anything except make loud noises. After a year he removed it from the tank altogether. Nothing changed as far as his parameters were concerned. Unless you have an overflow device they pull water from the bottom of the tank. You need to pull from the top of the tank.
I personally had a Fission I bought for a 20g. I smooshed it with a large hammer and placed it in the trash. There are about 20 tiny little pieces that all push together. Everyday I'd get home and one part or another would be in the bottom of the tank. So then I super glued it all together, it never did anything. It looked good while running, as if to say something should be going well.
I think you are looking for nano sized skimmers from your descriptions. There is a nano sold at AquateK Saphire skimmer. http://www.nanotuners.com/product_info.php?products_id=357
They are built to fit in the JBJ style nano tanks, I'm sure it could be fitted to work in any tank. There were some excellent reviews made a while back from some people I know in town and trust.
