Hello Fellow Maast'rs I have a Pipe Fish for sale. I caught him 2 days ago and hes a tough little sucker. He got sucked into my overflow tank last night and i found him like 12 hours later in the sump between the blue pad and the wall of the sump still alive and kicking!!! I had a hard time getting him as he kept flopping around, I put him back in the tank and hes swimming all over. He didnt get hurt/damaged at all though, he looks very nice! Ill get some pictures tonight. I have yet to get him to eat though, as hes got a TINY mouth and I have too much flow to feed something like this. I figured someone would want one. $20 OBO. You can call me if interested as well. Travis - 830-660-6158

Im In canyon Lake, just north of SA. About 45mins. I moved him to a Lower Flow tank, Hes a bit happier there, We have fed 2 times since and he starts moving around alot more when we do so I think maybe soon he will be taking in Frozen!

What size is he? Do you think he would work well in a 55gallon long reef tank?

Thanks,

Oh yeah, Hes quite a bit smaller than your thinking lol. Hes a Type you normally only put in Sea Horse tanks or tanks with slower flow. Im sure you might be able to keep him in a lower flow 55g reef tank. Or at least have a bit of Plants for him to strive in. Hes about 4-5" long. Hes eating frozen foods so far I think anyway, its hard to tell with the size of his mouth. When you feed he swims around opening and closing his mouth but I still dont see him physically eat anything, but its been over a week in the tank and hes still moving alot So i doubt hes not eating, I think hes just eating the really small particles of food hard for me to see. As you can tell from the pictures he moves around.... Heres some pictures:
