I am thinking about purchasing the aquapod 24 gallon with the power compact lights and I was just wondering what everyone thinks of this tank, for a beginner. I am new to the hobby and I was either going to convert my 36 gallon to saltwater of buy an aquapod and I think I want to do the aquapod.

So just please post comments and experiences on this tank, or ones you think would be better.

Please feel free to post stocking ideas for the 24 gallon aquapod as well!

Thanks.

Tony is correct.here is the link http://maast.org/forums/showthread.php?t=37855 I have a 24 gallon aquapod here in my house and it works super. If I had to do ovr again I would buy the hqi pne instead. Depends on what you want to keep in it.

aquapods are perfect hqi might put out too much heat if you plan to add extra flow such as a pump power compact setups are nice unless you want to do harder corals

I had the AP24 with p.c.'s. If I were you I would do some research. The AP's have alot of heat issues, even with just the p.c. lighting. My AP isn't set up anymore, and when I tore it down the only thing left stock was the actual tank itself.

If I had to do it all over again, I would just piece together my own system. If you're not confident in doing that, atleast get the 150w HQI version.

If you decide to get the AP24, pm me if you have any questions about it. As previously stated (sort of), I did alot of mods to my tank, and can help you if necessary.

Thanks, this is my first marine tank and I thought I would use my freshwater 36 gallon corner or buy the aquapod 24. I'm leaning towards the aquapod.

I love my aquapod but one thing that I wish it had was square glass instead of the curved. Hard to get great photos with the bend. I use a chiller and 150w HQI but that is not for everyone.

I would set up the 36gal. Way more options with a bigger tank!!!
