I know nothing about drums. I only know that my girl's about to be 6yo nephew TOLD, lol not asked, us that we'd get him a real live drum for his soon to be Bday. Of course I hit ol Craigslist yesterday and got him what appeared to be a nice 5 piece Groove Percussions kit. However I've since figured out that I got ripped a little. The lister said everything included and assured me it was. His wife was at the home and helped me load everything. When I got home I figured out a Tom was not attached to anything. Further research has led me to believe this kit should have a "T" stand coming from the bass/kick drum. Instead I got a tripod stand with a nifty swivel head and a single tom post. The one tom seems to heavy for the stand and it must be propped against the kick drum. I really want to give this yoot a full on kick butt drum set to annoy his parents with. How cool would it have been if you were given a real live drive set for your 6th Bday. If anyone has that part I could trade my stand or standard US currency for LMK ASAP. I have until Monday. About the only that I can say for sure is that the kick drum has about a 1" hole with a key way slot towards the front (audience side) and a screw lock to pinch it with.

Thanks.

Garrett/JimD I know both of you are rockstars. No holding back.

Jeff Ryders carrys the groove percussion brand so they may have the piece you need. Sam Ash has many others that may work with the kit also. You may have to take in a section of the drum so they can match it up.

yeah but I've already spent $200 on the kids Bday. Just bought a house to. No money left to go and drop $80-100 on a piece. Was hoping to find one kicking around in a garage somewhere.
