My wife and I adopted Delphi a patagonian conure approx 7-8 months ago. She needs alot of attention. One of our problems is that we brought her into our home with us already having my wifes Green cheek conure and ever since shes arrived he hasnt been his self and has become slightly more aggressive (had him since hatchling) and we think hes become a bit angry and jealous, main reason for us adopting her out. Not to mention the birds are my wifes and shes slightly elergic to Delphis dander We want her to go to someone with bird exp. if possible. Here are her problems that can be worked on with lots of work.

1.) Attached to woman
2.) Plucks her chest feathers when doesnt have enough attention
3.) Cage Aggressive
4.) Will let you know when she wants you attention

These problems are not unusual with birds but with her being 7yrs old shes a little stubburn. Above I mentioned cage aggressive but once shes out of her cage she will not bite but is very nervous. She will come with a plexi glass bird cage and toys.

* Patagonian Conure- Largest in the Conure family; when discovered there was a debate on rather or not to call them parrots or conures. Loud and can learn tp speak. From regions of Brazil http://patagonian-conure.com/patagoni3.htm

On the bright side she will make you laugh with all the crazy sounds she makes. She meows! like a cat from being around them before coming into out home. And when out of the cage loves to watch what you are doing.

Asking $50 to make sure she goes to a good home with cage and toys.

Thanks
Ray Allen

Ray, FYI the Mali is doing well. Lays around most of the day and is pretty much only active during feedings. I upgraded to a 100w light to help keep his tan nice! He is veryyyyyyyyyyy sweet!

Here ya go. Remember above one of her problems is feather plucking. She will go weeks without doing it and one day it seems she gets bored and goes at it again. We adopted her 7 or so months ago and really havnt figured out how to get her to stop, She is almost 8yrs old and may just be stubborn. She only plucks out her breast feathers so she isnt stark naked. I also took a picture of the acrylic cage and basic stand I built that needs skinned if you want it.

Good link Jim. Im sure she will do well. The woman we got her from had her from a hatchling and at 7yrs old couldnt keep her for what ever reason. From those 7 years she developed some interesting habits that weve got to witness and hear over the last 7 months, lol. Our green cheek which we have had from hatchling has never plucked a feather and is as happy as can be when the patagonian isnt around. So this will be good for everyone especially the birds.
