Site fixes and solutions

I'm working on fixing all the bugs and sorting out the new forums.

You will need to enable Private Messaging and WYSIWYG editor(so you can use smilies and such)

Step1: click on UserCp link up above
Step2: scroll down to Messaging & Notification section and check the box that is labeled "Enable Private Messaging"
Step3: scroll further down until you see the section called Miscellaneous Options and select "Enhanced Interface-Full WYSIWYG editing" this will let you see the smilies and enhance text options.


I'm still working on a lot of little things so if you run into problems please post them and I will get to work on them.

I think it's
UserCP > EDIT OPTIONS > Messaging & notifications

WYSIWYG Editing is in the very last drop down box on the Edit Option page.

You should see them when you click Post Reply. I don't think you can use them with Quick Response (QR) unless you know the written form. :shades:

I am engwife36, a charter member, and now all the sudden it has me listed as Hemichick which is an old username that I never used. All my posts I havce as engwife36 changed to hemichick, it shows I'm not a charter member, and I have 0 posts. I know there's alot of bugs to work out so I'm not gripping. I would like my engwife36 username back with my posts and everything else. Thanks, Mikki & Brad.

First off Brian the site looks awesome, top notch. Now for my problem, lol. It is similar to engwifes problem. I registered to maast in 2004 under the name frogguy1 because I used frogguy1 for everything which began in highschool. I stopped using frogguy1 as my username on all the forums I use and now just go by my actual name RayAllen. I became a 2007 charter member several months back under the name RayAllen but now It tells me that the username and password are invalid. Not to mention all my post Ive made in the last several months are under the old user name which hasnt been used I quite some time. Also post people have made to my threads are missing. In a nutshell my username RayAllen not frogguy1, 2007 Charter member, last I looked just over 400 post.

Also, my member gallery is not there. I looked under E and ran a search with my first name, both came back with no results.

You are going to have to start a gallery from scratch. Just look for upload photos while in the photo gallery. You should have gotten a pm stating to upload your photos in your gallery from the old site a few weeks ago.

I've noticed the sweary filter is way to strong. I got a PM giving me directions to Bab**** road, it was all blocked out. I cannot believe ***anese is blocked in Joeseph's thread. I couldn't even describe a *** 1000cc engine in the lounge, Jason A Prestwick.

I like the new website. Of course, as a new member, the old website was new to me! :) But one thing I used quite a bit as a new member and new person to the hobby was the page with all of the links to other websites. Am I missing that? If so, where is that page? If not, do we plan to put that page or a similar one back up at some point in the future? Thanks!

If you look to the left in the "Main Menu" box you will see a drop down box called "Module Jump." Click on the drop down box and go to "Links."

1) When I hit the latest active thread button (I am assuming that this is like the button that will let you see all the activity since the last visit) it only brings up one from about 20 minutes ago.

2) I do not get notifications when there is a new post on a thread that I am subscribed to. (NVM on this one I am only subscribed to two threads. They must have gotten wiped out when the switch was done.)

By the way Brian you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

Anyone else missing post, all of a sudden I went from having 440-450 post to 350, thats really weird. Ive been creeping my way up to 500 post and zap im down a 100 or so post. We have a post thief, lol.
