I was wondering if someone could tell me which is more likely to eat clams and scallops...6-line wrasse or bi-colored angel. I have both and now my scallop has become food.

BiColored Angels love clam mantles. The female BiColored Angel in the most aggressive in picking on the clams. Of all the dwarf angels, this one is most unsafe and untrustworthy in a reef. Generally speaking, the Bicolored Angel is the one that is regarded as incompatable for a reef tank.

It is possible to "train" a BiColored Angel to only take frozen food that is offered and leave the sessile reef inhabitants (corals) alone. "Training" usually takes around a year to get them to forget about live foods. After that, as long as they are properly fed, they may be reef safe. If there is an exception, it will be during a time of neglect or when you go on vacation and have someone else look after the tank.

6 Lined wrasses do not bother live clams. They feed more like a Mandarin. The interesting part is that most fish will love a live clam from HEB that is split open for them to eat even if they do not ever bother a live Tridacna clam.

Anyone want a bi-colored angel? I loved my electric scallop...I used to set and watch the little sparks all the time. Now the angel has to go so I can get another scallop.
