I would be glad to take any special orders at the 25% off sale price. I would also like to put together a group order on a specific item that I am willing to sell at cost. Some possibilities are clean up crew, clams, zoas, salt, etc. We are also thinking King Kong nachos. Let me know your ideas, on this thread.

Hi Sin! Welcome to MAAST! You can find all the membership info here http://www.maast.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&re q=viewarticle&artid=2&page=1.

The store is located off of Bandera across the street and a little ways down (towards 1604) from Chachos.

Even if you dont join you are more than welcome at meetings! Look forward to meeting you.
-Christina

PS You might want to add your location to your profile, since MAAST is pretty wide-spread. ;)

Ok folks, the meeting date is fast approaching. Here is what we are thinking for the day of the meeting.

1. Live rock group order: We will be taking pre-paid special orders for Fiji Premium live rock. Since I can not pick up the rock this time, we will have to charge an additional $25 for shipping and handling. This will bring the total to $124.99 per box. If we can get 20 boxes together we may be able to get a better price.
2. Clean up crew: We will be placing a large order for hermits, snails, etc. I will be working on pricing for these items this week, but should be able to match any online regular price. I will need to get a general idea of what everyone is going to want so that I can place the appropriate order. Some suggestions are red or blue leg hermits, astrea snails, turbo snails, nassarius snails, emerald crabs, etc.
3. Frags: I will be fragging a ton of Zoanthids and most or our remaining corals. I hope to have several hundred $5-10 frags available for the meeting.
4. Fish, corals, and others: Everything else will be 25% off including DT’s, frozen food, live rock, and in stock fish and corals.

I think the salt is going to be too difficult unless we can agree on one brand; personally we use Red Sea coral pro and love it.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Ok, so I should be able to match reeftopia's prices on like items for clean up crew, but I will need to know how much to order. I am also going to get some other items that they do not carry like red leg sea of cortez hermits, large tongan nassarius snails, and mexican or zebra turbos. Also I will need to know what size hermits you guys want, I usually order the medium ones because the small and tiny are very hard to keep track of. I guess I will start another thread in the retailers forum to take reservations for clean up crew. I am not sure if it is ok but if the BOD aproves maybe we can anounce it in the group order forum too.

I can probably sell the salt for $29.99. Since this is the salt we use I don't mind ordering a bunch of it, if it doesn't sell we will just use it. I will double check the price on Monday.

I will probably need a small cleanup crew for my 55gal. The only thing is, Im going to have a Fowl Tank ie. Lionfish, FrogFish, mainly those kinds, so most of the crabs will get eaten but the snails should be fine. I will be looking for more Marshall Island LR though.... I have 17lbs so far, but i need to total 50lbs since this wont be a coral tank i want beautiful LR, and this rock hits the spot! If you get some LARGE peices in of this let me know!

How much salt water does each bucket make at 1.025 salinity. Is it the ussual wich is around 150Gal. If so I'll pick up 2 buckets or more. -SoLiD

Yup, I agree. Call me or PM me if you want some good collection spots that don't require a 4WD. They are quite easy actually.

If anyone at the meeting is interested I can bring a nice sized peice of Candy Cane Coral (20 or so heads) for trade for shrooms or palys, let me know and I will bring them. If know one is interested I will just hold on to them.
