"Corals" is such a vague description, can you be more specific?

A couple of sps... not sure all their specific names, some ricordias, some candycanes, and a couple of zoas. If that helps out a little. I was just curious because all of a sudden my fowlr 125g tank is full of hundreds of baby snails. I'm not sure what type of snails they are?? They are very small, black, with spiral shells... looks similar to cerith snails. I was wanting to combine my smaller reef tank into the larger tank but I needed to know if I need get rid of the snails before doing so. Thanks again.

Make sure they are not pyramid snails if they have a trumpet shaped shell. Some Conch snails will eat corals. The most devastating snail I've met are large Turbo snails as they can knock over a lot of corals in a short time.

yeah I would have to agree with you there about the big turbos. WE have a massive turbo that my fiance refuses to part with due to it being her "Mongo". Let me tell you what, every single time we get a new frag I have to make sure all the hatches are battoned down or else I will be frag hunting the next day.

I think those are sundial snails. Pyramid snails are the little white ones that attack clams.

Yup, Pyramids can and will destroy clams and other snails if left uncontroled.
