I was wondering if there is a certain type of spray paint for glass or if you just use regular latex spray paint, i wanted to paint it black, but not glossy, i want it to be matte or satin look. or does that even matter?

I dont know about spray paint but on my old 75g I used concret/garage floor paint and it turned out really good.

I have used Krylon Fusion for 5 tanks and it works well. If I had to do another tank, I probably go with a paint-on type instead of spray, just because spray paint is so messy

I think that no matter which finish you use, it's going to be glossy since it's on glass and your seeing the underside of the paint. An alternative would be to paint a piece of acrylic and attach it to the back glass. Then your seeing the finish side.

I just got done using RUST-OLEUM Metallic paint. Color code 7251 Cobalt Blue Metallic. I've used this paint a lot and it will give a nice dark blue color with a little sparkle.

I don't know how accurate this is, but I heard limo window tinting works well...

But I also used the Krylon Spray paint.....I used blue and think I will try black if I don't go with a room divider type of tank.
